The lottery won't solve poverty!
With the size of the lottery pot being over $300 million, there has been a meme going around Facebook suggesting that if we distributed the $300 million to everyone in the U.S., we would solve poverty. Unfortunately, the math is flawed, and after about the 8th time seeing that pesky concept coming through my feed, from people that ought to be able to do math, I could stand it no longer.
